• Natalie Douglas will present a tribute to Nina Simone at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7. Dinner will be at 7, and the show will begin at 7:30. The event is a cabaret-style event with dinner tables set up on stage.
• The Senior Center will host the Black History Month proclamation reading at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4. The Branchettes gospel duo will perform, and there will be a poetry reading. Mayor Ronnie Williams will preside.
• An African-American women art exhibition will run through Feb. 28 in the GPAC lobby. The exhibit features the art of African-American artists including LeGrant Taylor, Eric McRay, Shawn Etheridge, FRANCO, Jermaine Powell, Delvecchio Faison and Jaylan Rhea.
