With Tropical Storm Andrea bearing down on eastern North Carolina, school officials at several Johnston County schools are watching the storm to decide whether to go ahead with planned commencement exercises Friday night.
Cleveland High School’s commencement is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday on the school’s football field. School officials will make a decision by 2 p.m. Friday whether to go ahead with the ceremony as planned or delay the event until Saturday morning at 10 a.m. If graduation services are moved to Saturday, school leaders will also have to decide whether to hold them outside or inside.
