The Timmons Group is seeking site plan approval for Zaxby’s restaurant at White Oak.
Efforts to reach Timmons Group this week were unsuccessful.
The site being requested is in the northwest quadrant of White Oak. It is across Jones Sausage Road from Cabela’s. Panera Bread and Red Robin were recently approved by the town council for the same quadrant.
The design proposes the restaurant to have its own lot and drive through lane. It will be on a little more than an acre of land. The building will be 3,847 square feet with 90 seats.

Zaxby’s is a franchised chain of fast casual restaurants, known for its chicken. The first restaurant opened in 1990 in Georgia and made its way to North Carolina in 1998.
Zaxby’s now operates in 15 states across the country. It has more than 600 locations.
The restaurant offers chicken wings, chicken fingers, sandwiches and salads.
The site plan must be reviewed at staff level before going to Garner’s planning commission meeting next month.
Also expected to go before the planning commission next month is the approval of the renovations of Garner Magnet High School and a building in the northwest quadrant of White Oak, which will house four restaurants or retail stores.
