The town has taken the first step in filling one of three open positions in town staff.
Stella Gibson was promoted last month to town clerk after having served as deputy town clerk and interim town clerk since December 2015. She succeeds Judy Bass, who retired in November.
Her annual salary will be $60,008.
Gibson was selected from among nearly 200 applicants for the position. She participated in a one-day assessment center along with other finalists for the position.
