Police fundraiser supports Special Olympics

The Garner Police Department will host its semi-annual Cops on Top fundraiser event Thursday, May 12 through Saturday, May 14 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. There will be special family day activities on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. including a stuffed cow drop, inflatables, face painting, cornhole and emergency vehicles on display.

Cops on Top is an event where officers stand on the roof of a business to raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics. Garner PD will have various merchandise for sale and will be accepting monetary donations. Cash, check or credit card will be accepted.

The event will be held at the Garner Towne Square Chick-fil-A located at 2720 Timber Drive. All proceeds will go directly to benefit the nearly 40,000 athletes of the Special Olympics.
