Vandora Springs Elementary – The Chairs of Hope auction is scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at Vandora Springs Elementary School, 1300 Vandora Springs Road, Garner. The auction will feature wooden chairs painted by Vandora Springs students and faculty. Teen Poetry Contest
Wake County libraries’ annual Teen Poetry Contest will run through April 30. Students in grades 6-12 are invited to submit as many as three original poems. A winner will be chosen in each of four categories: sixth grade, seventh-eighth grade, ninth-10th grade and 11th-12th grade.
