Fourth of July celebration
Residents of the Cleveland community will celebrate Independence Day beginning with a youth breakfast at 7-9 a.m. Thursday, July 4, at Oakland Church.
The Fourth of July parade begins at 10 a.m. The day’s events are in the heart of Cleveland by the old Cleveland High School. There will be games, inflatables, pony rides, food and entertainment. The fireworks display begins at 9:15 p.m. For information or to make contributions for fireworks, call Cookie Pope at 919-934-6187.

The 440th Army Band will be in concert 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, in the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium, 245 College Road, Smithfield. The free concert is in honor of Independence Day. Donations will be accepted to benefit the performing arts programs at JCC.
