Barbecue chicken fundraiser

Amelia Christian Church will hold a barbecue chicken fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 6. Plates are $8 and include potatoes, green beans, half a barbecue chicken and hushpuppies. Eat in or take out. Homemade desserts will also be for sale. Amelia Christian Church is located at 1696 Amelia Church Rd., Clayton.

Supper at Mount Zion

Mt. Zion United Methodist Church will hold its annual old-fashioned supper from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the church, 15772 N.C. 50 North in Garner. Dinner includes fried chicken, barbecue, ham, chicken and pastry, hot dogs, collards, potatoes, green beans, hushpuppies, biscuits and desserts. Takeout will be available. Garner United Methodist Church fundraiser

Garner United Methodist Church will hold a barbecue chicken fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 20, at the church, 201 Methodist Dr., Garner. Plates are $8 and include half a barbecue chicken, green beans, potatoes, bread and a dessert. The fundraiser will benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
