4th of July Pancake Breakfast
Oakland Presbyterian Church will host its annual Pancake and Sausage Breakfast, from 7 to 9:30 a.m. on July 4, at 8927 Cleveland Road, across from the GCAA ball fields. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast at just $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Proceeds benefit the youth and children programs at Oakland. Then stick around for the annual Celebrate Cleveland Fourth of July Parade.
Vacation Bible school
▪ Mount Zion United Methodist Church will host its vacation Bible school, 6:15 to 8:45 p.m. July 6-10 at 15772 NC 50 North, Garner. Free meals will be served at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Classes will be available for preschool potty-trained 3-5 year-olds, kindergarten-grade 5, grades 6-8 and 9-12. A series for high school graduates and college students will be at 6:00 p.m. An adult study will start at 7:30 p.m. Closing program will be at 11:00 a.m. July 12. ▪ Oakland Presbyterian Church will host its annual vacation Bible school, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 19-23, at 8927 Cleveland Road, Clayton. Dinner will be served Monday through Thursday. Our theme this year is Gospel Light’s SonSpark Labs for ages 3 through rising 5th graders. An adult class will be presented by pastor Andrew Ruth, titled Bible 101. Nursery for children 2 and under will be available for adults attending the Bible 101 class. Weeknight Worship Service
Mount Zion United Methodist Church has started a Thursday night worship service at 7:30 p.m. The church is at 15772 N.C. 50 North, Garner.
Feed My Sheep food pantry is open from 9 a.m. to noon on the second Saturday of each month at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 1082 Amelia Church Road, Clayton. The food is free to anyone presenting an ID card. For more information, call 919-553-9770.
