Notary Public Training Class
In partnership with Wake Technical Community College, the Garner Chamber of Commerce is offering a notary public class from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, in the Garner chamber’s conference room. The full-day course offers an understanding of the qualifications and requirements to practice as a notary public in North Carolina. Lunch will be provided by Ragazzi’s. All KS Bank locations will sponsor a tailgate party on Sept. 25 to benefit local food banks and charities. Bring non-perishable food items between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to KS Bank, at 920 Seventh Ave., Garner. From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., each branch will serve hot dogs to those who bring donations of any kind.
New hire at PC Construction
PC Construction in Garner hired Travis LeFever as director of business development. LeFever brings extensive construction experience to his new role and has worked collaboratively with PC Construction on water and wastewater treatment projects in the past.

New U-Haul dealer
U-Haul Co. of North Carolina announced that Arrow Pawn & Jewelry #3 has signed on as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer to serve the Garner community. Arrow Pawn & Jewelry at 731 Hwy. 70 West is offering U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, support rental items and in-store pick-up for boxes. Hours of operation for U-Haul rentals are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday. After-hours drop-off is available for customer convenience.
