Corinth Holders girls, Cleveland boys win
Corinth Holders girls and Cleveland’s boys came out on top in a Two Rivers 3A Conference three-team meet at Corinth Holders on Thursday.
Cleveland totaled 72 points to beat Corinth Holders by 3 on the boys’ side. The Pirate girls won with 82 points, Cleveland had 68. Triton was third in both meets.
Arden Vessie of Corinth Holders won the 1,600 meters in 5:34 and the 3,200 in 11:28. Marie Pickett was the 100 hurdle girls winner in 16.86 seconds.

Rams outscore Hawks
Cleveland’s softball team scored in five of its six at bats and topped Triton 11-9 in a matchup of teams who were unbeaten in the Two Rivers 3A Conference entering the evening.
Triton jumped out to a 5-1 lead but Cleveland roared back with six runs in the bottom of the third, then added runs in the fourth (a pair of runs), fifth and sixth to maintain its lead.
Cleveland outhit Triton 17-5 in the victory.
Taylor Drayton and Brittany Bucklin both had four-hit nights, while Alliyah Sands contributed three hits. Alexis Ivey had a pair of hits.
The Rams (6-1, 2-0) have won five straight games.
