Why Presbyterian? “I just felt like PC really wanted me. They were really welcoming and people already knew my name. It’s a small school in a small town. The team is really close and they hang out together all the time.”
Notable: Sally was a cross country captain at WCA all four seasons and was the team MVP all four years. She won the 2011 NCCSA State Championship and was TISAC All-Conference in 2013 and 2014. …. Her personal best in 2014 was 19:48. She ran 20:37 at the NCISAA Championship. ... Sally attended WCA for 13 years and was treasurer of the Beta Club and a Junior Marshal. ... Says she enjoys both running and camping with her family including sister Maggie, who is a rising sophomore soccer player for the Bulldogs.
Wake Christian cross country coach Ronnie Jones: “I have coached Sally from eighth grade on. Her level of commitment and dedication to her sport only comes from those who want to compete at a top level. She was captain for four years because she has great leadership abilities. She’ll do whatever is asked of her for the team. She was probably the most dedicated runner in my 10 years at Wake Christian.”
Favorite Bible Verse: “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus.” — Hebrews 12:1
