Notable: Alisha is a three-year varsity starter for the Trojans, playing mainly the outfield. She projects to play mainly the outfield for the Mountaineers as well. She was an all-conference selection as a sophomore and a junior and received the team’s Trojan Award after her freshman and sophomore seasons. … She also helped the Challengers to a fifth place finish in the prestigious Colonial Fireworks Tournament. … She wants to improve on her speed as she gets ready for college, knowing there’s a chance she could break into the lineup as a freshman. … One of her more memorable at bats came after Garner coach Moe Barbour reminded her that she had not had a big hit in a while. “Your coach just sometimes knows just the right thing to say,” Alsiha said. “I hit a home run in my next at bat.”
