Why St. Aug’s? “It’s a very family-based program. I felt like I had a connection with the coaching staff immediately. And I really got along pretty well with the defensive line coach.”

Major: Sport Science

Notable: Desmond projects to play defensive end for the Falcons. He was a three-year varsity player for the Trojans at both defensive tackle and defensive end. … He helped Garner win back-to-back Greater Neuse River 4A Conference championships in 2014-15. “The discipline of the Garner football team really helped me,” Desmond said. “It really loved it all, the whole experience with just a big, great family of a team. The coaches and other players really care about you here.” … Desmond wants to improve his speed, ball tracking and hands as he gets ready for college ball. … He wants to go into the sports medicine field as a career.
