Pet of the Week: Zorro

Get to know him: Zorro is an 8-year-old Maine coon mix available for adoption through Marley’s Cat Tales. Like every superhero, Zorro has a story. His parent, who was diagnosed with late-stage cancer, had to give him up. Zorro is a big boy who is extremely sweet and snuggly. He is not very active but does like to be near you and follow you around. He loves to be held and brushed and has a squeak instead of a meow. Zorro has been neutered, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, is up to date on vaccines and has a microchip. Zorro’s adoption fee is $50 because he is older than 5.

For more information: Contact Marley’s Cat Tales at marleyscats@gmail.com or go to www.marleyscattales.org. Potential adopters are asked to complete an application on the website. Then an adoption counselor will guide them through the process and set up a meeting with the pet. Zorro is one of 300 dogs and cats available through Marley’s Cat Tales. The group brings adoptable animals to PetSmart in Brier Creek from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sundays. If you can’t adopt, you can also save a life by fostering, volunteering or donating.
