Get to know him: Colt , who is available for adoption through Doberman Rescue of North Carolina, is a beautiful boy who still has the energy and zest for life of a younger pup. Born in the summer of 2006, he was given up by his owners who could no longer afford to care for him – sadly, this happens frequently during these tough economic times. Colt loves attention and is great with people. He also does very well with female, medium- to large-breed dogs. He probably will not do well with cats because of his size and prey drive. Colt is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and on monthly heartworm preventative. He’s housebroken and crate-trained. He does pull some on leash, so an obedience course and lots of practice on leash walking would be very helpful.
