Pet of the Week: Ms. Shelly

Get to know her: Ms. Shelly is a mature lady, 10-12 years of age, who has an overabundance of affection to share. Being in her later years, she would most likely enjoy the company of a mature person or couple who enjoys walking around the neighborhood or perhaps the park; be prepared to meet and greet others as Shelly is a social butterfly. No day will be complete without the chance to lie by your feet to keep you company. She has a slight cough but is up to date on all vaccines.

For more information: Triangle Sheltie Rescue of North Carolina is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to helping homeless Shetland sheepdogs in North Carolina and nearby states. While in the care of TSR, shelties are spay or neutered and placed in foster homes to be nurtured, loved and housetrained. Foster parents learn each dog’s temperament and work on obedience and behavior training, allowing the dog to be placed in an environment best for both the dog and the adopter. Adoption fees range from $100 to $225 based on age. For more information, visit www.triangleshelties.com.
