Pet of the Week: Jeanie

Get to know her: Jeanie is a 1-year-old, female Maine Coon mix available for adoption through Calvin’s Paws (formerly known as Marley’s Cat Tales). Jeanie and her siblings were trapped with their feral mom when she was still a kitten. Jeanie was shy, but the rescuers thought that she was too pretty and sweet not to be given a chance. Now, she loves attention and to cuddle with her foster mom. She would love to be an only cat, but dogs are OK, as long she can be the princess of the household. She is only about 9 pounds, which is small for a Maine Coon, but she has tons of sweetness packed into her small body.

For more information: Contact Calvin’s Paws at info@calvinspaws.com or go to www.calvinspaws.com. Potential adopters are asked to complete an application on the website. Then an adoption counselor will be assigned to them to guide them through the process and set up a meeting with the cat. The adoption fee is $100, which includes all vet care such as vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip and blood test for FeLV and FIV. Jeanie is one of 300 sweet cats and dogs available at Calvin’s Paws. If you can’t adopt, you can also save a life by fostering, volunteering or donating.
