Arthritis support group

Mended Hearts at WakeMed

Mended Hearts will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at the WakeMed Raleigh Campus Heart Center, 3000 New Bern Ave., Raleigh. The group will discuss hands-only CPR. Mended Hearts is a national organization with a local WakeMed chapter. The local group meets monthly and offers support, education and activities for cardiac event survivors and their families as well as medical professionals in the cardiology field.

Raleigh Christian Women’s Connection

The Raleigh Christian Women’s Connection will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the N.C. State University Club, 4200 Hillsborough St., Raleigh. Karen Cummins will sing songs celebrating Valentine’s Day. Shirley Ludwig will be the featured speaker. Lunch costs $16, with a free nursery available. Reservations are required by Feb. 13. Social Justice Forum

The Social Justice Forum meets at 3:30 p.m. Sundays in the library of the Western Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 4900 Kaplan Drive, Raleigh. During the first three months of the year, the group will focus on the Israel/Palestine conflict.

Great Decisions lecture series

The Woman’s Club of Raleigh will host the Great Decisions program from the Foreign Policy Association throughout February and March at 3300 Woman’s Club Drive. The Triangle Brain Aneurysm and AVM Support Group meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the third Monday of each month, alternating between Durham and Raleigh locations. The group supports those who are affected by brain aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations by providing reassurance, recovery information, education and fundraising support for research.
