6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 24: An Introduction to Mind Mapping will teach participants how to be more effective lifelong learners with mental techniques that expedite and reinforce information gathering and retention.
Forums at the WELL

April 16: Award-winning artist Willie Green Aldridge will discuss interior design and art.
May 7: Graphic designer Joshua Vaughn will discuss his job and his habits for success.
May 21: Jeff Crews, president of Splat Space in Durham, will discuss the “maker culture,” where technology and a can-do philosophy can lead to new inventions and products for the future.
City of Raleigh forums
The City of Raleigh will hold informational forums concerning the future of the city from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the City of Raleigh Urban Design Center, 220 Fayetteville St., Raleigh. Call 919-996-4635 for more information.

Museum of History events

10 to 10:30 a.m. Thursdays, March 20 and 27: Storytime in the Gallery will feature a tour through one of the galleries accompanied by a history-related story.
1 p.m. Sunday, March 23: At the Movies: “Frost/Nixon.” This Oscar-nominated film retells the post-Watergate television interviews between British talk-show host David Frost and former president Richard Nixon.
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29: “Cedars in the Pines” on the Plaza: Celebrate Lebanese culture during this outdoor festival of dances, foods and crafts.
The festival takes place in the Bicentennial Plaza, in front of the museum. Activities include henna hand painting, Arabic calligraphy, a scavenger hunt with prizes, photo booths, and more.
