Gray to speak to Republican club

Becki Gray will speak to the Northern Wake County Republican Club at the group’s meeting from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Events at Newton Square, 230 Newton Road, Raleigh. Dinner will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. Gray is vice president for outreach in the John Locke Foundation. Dinner is $18; admission is $6 for those who wish to attend but not eat.

Diabetes support group

A diabetes support group will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Milner Memorial Church, 1950 New Bern Ave., Raleigh. Carrie Thomas, a certified diabetes educator, will speak on diabetes medications and how they work. The meeting also will include group discussion and lunch. Vision board workshop

FemCity Raleigh, a professional women’s group, will hold a Vision Board Workshop from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the Center for Community Leadership, 711 Hillsborough St., Raleigh. Attendees will create a collage of pictures and words that represent what matters most in their lives. Cost is $29 for Femfessionals members and $39 for nonmembers. Materials are included. Letita Mason, director of admissions at the N.C. School of Science and Math, will speak during the Business and Professional Women meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Brier Creek Country Club, 9400 Club Hill Drive, Raleigh.
