FemCity announces board of advisers

FemCity Raleigh has announced two appointments to the board of advisers. Nicoa Dunne, managing partner and energy coach at Holland Archer, will serve as the passionista chairwoman, and Ingrid Jones, owner of Impact Meetings and Events, will be the events chairwoman. FemCity Raleigh is the local chapter of Femfessionals, a nationwide network of women who are passionate about helping other women succeed in business and in their communities. Wake County Senior Democrats meeting

Alexandria Sirota of the N.C. Justice Center will speak at the Wake County Senior Democrats meeting Wednesday, June 20, at the Crabtree Marriott Hotel on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. Sirota will discuss the state budget, adequate revenues and tax reform. A Dutch lunch will start at 11 a.m. with the program following.

Vision board workshop

FemCity Raleigh, a professional women’s group, will hold a Vision Board Workshop from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the Center for Community Leadership, 711 Hillsborough St., Raleigh. Attendees will create a collage of pictures and words that represent what matters most in their lives. Cost is $29 for Femfessionals members and $39 for nonmembers. Materials are included. Avila to address Republican Women

State Rep. Marilyn Avila will address the Wake County Republican Women’s Club on June 21 at the N.C. State University Club, 4200 Hillsborough St., Raleigh. Letita Mason, director of admissions at the N.C. School of Science and Math, will speak during the Business and Professional Women meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Brier Creek Country Club, 9400 Club Hill Drive, Raleigh.
