Art demonstration and wine tasting

A painting demo by North Carolina artist Suzanne Morris and a wine tasting are scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at ArtSource, 4351-101 The Circle @ North Hills St. Raleigh. Emerging artists concert series

A concert series featuring emerging artists is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Fridays through Oct. 12 at Fountain Park at the Captrust Tower, 4208 Six Forks Road, Raleigh. Pottery fest in Wake Forest

The 10th annual Pottery Fest, featuring 28 area potters, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Under the Oaks, 2033 Wait Ave., Wake Forest. Rain date is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9. The free event will include demonstrations, children’s activities, live music and food. Sertoma gallery exhibit

Workshop on iPhone photography

A program on taking better pictures with your iPhone is set for 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Roundabout Art Collective, 305 Oberlin Road, Raleigh. Taught by fine art photographer John Pagliuca, this free workshop covers camera handling, basic composition, photography apps and transferring pictures from iPhone to computer. Bring your iPhone. Singer Zoe Mulford to perform

Trans-Atlantic singer and songwriter Zoe Mulford will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at the Unitarian Universalist PEACE Fellowship, 4104 Watkins Road, Raleigh. Mulford is a musical storyteller, backing her voice with guitar or clawhammer banjo.

Creedmoor Music Festival

The 21st annual Creedmoor Music Festival is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. The event will include live music, local food, vendors, face painting, balloon animals, a bounce house and a display by the Creedmoor Police Department featuring McGruff the Crime Fighting Dog.

Door prizes, including a grand prize of a weekend getaway to a Myrtle Beach resort, will be given out. To register, go to Creedmoor City Hall, Southern States or Creedmoor/Butner News to fill out a registration ticket. Keep the bottom half of the ticket and make sure you are present the day of the festival to claim your prize.
