Exhibits at Cameron Village library

Works by Ben Harris and Rebecca Rousseau will be on display through Sept. 30 at Cameron Village Regional Library, 1930 Clark Ave., Raleigh. Harris’ “Four on the Floor” is contemporary metal sculpture crafted from salvaged materials, and Rousseau’s “What the Animals Do at Night” is acrylics on canvas. Emerging artists concert series

A concert series featuring emerging artists is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Fridays through Oct. 12 at Fountain Park at the Captrust Tower, 4208 Six Forks Road, Raleigh. The following bands will play: Jason Adamo, Sept. 14; Old Avenue, Sept. 21; Addison Prophet, Sept. 28; CrowField, Oct. 5; and Catie King, Oct. 12.

Singer Zoe Mulford to perform

Trans-Atlantic singer and songwriter Zoe Mulford will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at the Unitarian Universalist PEACE Fellowship, 4104 Watkins Road, Raleigh. Mulford is a musical storyteller, backing her voice with guitar or clawhammer banjo.

Annual Creedmoor Music Festival

The 21st annual Creedmoor Music Festival is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. The event will include live music, local food, vendors, face painting, balloon animals, a bounce house and a display by the Creedmoor Police Department featuring McGruff the Crime Fighting Dog.

Door prizes, including a grand prize of a weekend getaway to a Myrtle Beach resort, will be given out. To register, go to Creedmoor City Hall, Southern States or Creedmoor/Butner News to fill out a registration ticket.

To become a vendor, complete a vendor registration form and obtain a permit from the Granville County Health Department. The deadline to register for a vendor booth is Friday, Sept. 7. For more information, visit www.cityofcreedmoor.org.

Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands

Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 23. Cost is $25.

Proceeds will go to KidzNotes, a local nonprofit that provides music lessons, instruments and performance opportunities to children who otherwise would not have access to playing music and all the educational and personal benefits it has to offer. Sertoma Arts Center accepting proposals

The Sertoma Arts Center is accepting proposals for the 2013 gallery year. Artists 18 or older who live and/or work in Wake County and surrounding areas are invited to submit. The gallery has introduced hundreds of artists to area residents and visitors since the inception of the Gallery Program. Monthly exhibitions will be scheduled. Applications are due Sept. 30. Chosen artists will be notified by Oct. 31.
