BPW names Career Woman of Year
BPW Raleigh will recognize its Career Woman of the Year, Lynn Davis Minges, at a luncheon at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the Hilton RDU. Minges is the assistant secretary of tourism, marketing and global branding for the N.C. Department of Commerce. She is the chairwoman of the National Council of State Tourism Directors and was recently elected secretary of U.S. Travel’s Executive Committee. Minges also serves on the Business Advisory Council of the John A. Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University.

Timely Topics luncheon of LWV
Alexandra Forter Sirota, director of the N.C. Budget and Tax Center of the N.C. Justice Center, will speak during the Timely Topics luncheon of the League of Women Voters of Wake County at noon Friday, Oct. 26, at NCSU University Club, 4300 Hillsborough St., Raleigh.
