Woman’s Club raises $10K for Dress for Success

The Woman’s Club of Raleigh raised $10,000 on Nov. 2 for Dress for Success Triangle and other community programs through its fashion show, luncheon and auction event.

North Raleigh Lions Club dinner

Ingalls to address Senior Democrats

Duston Ingalls, assistant director at Public Policy Polling, will address the Wake County Senior Democrats on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the Crabtree Marriott Hotel, Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh. He will offer analytical comments about the 2012 election, especially the results in North Carolina. The program will follow a Dutch lunch at 11 a.m.

FEM It Forward fundraising

FemCity Raleigh, a professional women’s group, has launched the FEM It Forward campaign to raise money for local charities.

In the campaign, which runs through Nov. 23, FemCity Raleigh members “sell” goods or services on Benefacting.org, with all of the money going to local charities. Members post services they are willing to perform in exchange for a donation to charity, and then they and prospective donors come to terms. The donations are made directly to the charity through PayPal.

Autism Society chapter resource fair

The Wake County chapter of the Autism Society of North Carolina will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 100 W. Lochmere Drive, Cary. A Resource Fair will provide information about RDI Therapy, Voices Together, The Pathways Program at UNC, YMCA Camp Grace and Aspire (track out), iAspire HFA programs, Camp Royall and more. Summer camps fill up in February.

Friendship Force holiday party

The Friendship Force of Raleigh will hold a holiday party at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at the N.C. State University Club, 4200 Hillsborough St., Raleigh. The club participates in exchanges with Friendship Force clubs in the United States and other countries to build understanding.
