Arthritis/Fibromyalgia support group

Ross to speak to Senior Democrats

N.C. Rep. Deborah Ross will address the Wake County Senior Democrats on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Crabtree Marriott Hotel on Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh. A Dutch lunch will start the meeting at 11 a.m., followed by the program.

Justices to address Republican women

Supreme Court Justices Mark Martin and Paul Newby will address the Wake County Republican Women’s Club on Thursday, Jan. 17, at the N.C. State University Club, 4200 Hillsborough St., Raleigh. A social begins at 11:30 a.m. and the lunch program begins at 11:45 a.m.

Pullen Park Wednesday Dance Club

The Pullen Park Wednesday Dance Club is seeking new members. The club, for attendees 50 years and older, dances to live ballroom music by a different group from 8 to 10:30 p.m. each Wednesday at the Pullen Community Center, 408 Ashe Ave., Raleigh. Admission is $7.

Diabetes support group meeting

A diabetes support group will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Milner Church, 1950 New Bern Ave., Raleigh. Weiss, Aycock to address league

Jennifer Weiss, who served in the N.C. General Assembly from 1999 until 2012, and Ron Aycock, retired executive director of the N.C. Association of County Commissioners, will speak at the Timely Topics brown bag lunch of the League of Women Voters of Wake County at noon Friday, Jan. 25, at Pullen Memorial Baptist Church, 1801 Hillsborough St., Raleigh. Woman’s Club games, luncheon fundraiser

The Woman’s Club of Raleigh will hold B B C (+M), a bridge, bingo, canasta and mahjongg fundraiser on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 3300 Woman’s Club Drive, Raleigh. Proceeds will benefit Dress For Success Triangle NC and other community projects. The event will include the games, a luncheon and prizes.
