People We Are seeks members

People We Are, a group for self-advocates with developmental disabilities, is seeking new members. The group will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, May 14 and May 28, at the Hayes Barton United Methodist Church, 2209 Fairview Road, Raleigh. The group works to develop speaking skills in regards to matters of public policy, employment and housing and discusses the rights, issues and needs of people with developmental disabilities. Live lobster fundraiser

The Exchange Club of North Raleigh will hold its annual lobster sale from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 1, at the Quail Corners parking lot, 1613 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh. Live Maine lobsters can be ordered for $15 each. Orders must be placed by Wednesday, May 29. Proceeds will benefit the prevention of child abuse and other community projects. Teen to Adulthood to discuss education options

Stacy Cash and Ke’pe Harrison, guardianship specialists with The Arc of Wake County, will hold a Teen to Adulthood session on guardianship from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Millbrook Exchange Community Center, 1905 Spring Forest Road, Raleigh. Grief support group

Grief support group meetings will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. each Tuesday in classroom 1008 at the Wakefield High School Ninth Grade Center, 931 Durham Road, Wake Forest. Participants will be guided through a series of discussions as well as explore tools to assist them through the grieving process.
