Wake Democratic Men’s Club

Brad Crone and Gary Pearce will speak to the Wake Democratic Men’s Club at 7 p.m. Monday, March 12, at the Clarion hotel in downtown Raleigh. A plate dinner will be served at 6:30. Crone and Pearce will draw on their backgrounds as political consultants to provide commentaries on the elections later this year.

Woman’s Club of Raleigh

The Woman’s Club of Raleigh will meet at noon Wednesday, March 14, at 3300 Woman’s Club Drive, Raleigh. Dr. Warren Eller will share his experiences in doing relief work in East Africa. FemCity Raleigh fashion benefit

FemCity Raleigh, the local chapter of Femfessionals, is holding a fashion event and benefit at Saks Fifth Avenue in Triangle Town Center from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 15. Saks Fifth Avenue will donate 10 percent of sales during the event to Dress for Success Triangle.

This event is Part II: The Outer You and will include tips from international image consultants at Lily Winston on wardrobe styling and dressing for different body types, and a makeover reveal. Attendees will also receive tips from a professional photographer on getting a good headshot. Women who bring in women’s accessories to donate to Dress for Success Triangle will be eligible to win raffle prizes, including a free professional head shot photo shoot and a gift from Saks Fifth Avenue. Champagne and hors d’oeuvres will be provided. Admission is free for Femfessionals members and $25 for non-members. The event is free for Femfessionals members and $25 for non-members. Doctor addresses diabetes group

A diabetes support group will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Milner Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1950 New Bern Ave., Raleigh. Dr. Ernest Daniels will speak on “Exercise and Your Health,” followed by a discussion and lunch. The group is led by Mary Clark, R.N. and certified diabetes educator.
