Girls’ soccer:

Leesville Road at Sanderson

Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Leesville Road and Sanderson sit behind nationally ranked Millbrook in the Cap Eight standings. Sanderson could pull even with the Pride with a win. Both teams will play Millbrook once more during the regular season.

Boys’ lacrosse:

Millbrook at Wakefield

Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Millbrook hopes to edge Wakefield for third place in Conference 3. The last meeting between the teams was a nail-bitter with Wakefield coming out on top in a 12-11 double-overtime battle.

Broughton at Leesville Road

Friday at 7 p.m.

Broughton has been steady atop the Cap Eight conference this season after missing the state playoffs last year, but a Leesville win could force a tie for the league’s top spot.

Boys’ lacrosse:

Leesville Road at Broughton

Friday at 7 p.m.

Leesville Road entered the week with just one conference loss. The Pride fell 10-4 to Conference 3 leader Broughton last month.

The Caps look to take a season sweep over the league’s second-place team.

Track & Field:

Bojangles/Apex Relays

Saturday at Apex High

Several teams will compete in the annual meet just one week before the Cap Eight conference championships. Wakefield, edged by Southeast Raleigh at last weekend’s Wake County Championships after holding the girls’ title for two years, is slated to attend.
