Forest Moon Theater auditions

Forest Moon Theater will host open auditions for “Deathtrap” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, and Thursday, July 9, at the Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest. An appointment is not required. The show will be performed Sept. 18-25. For details, go to

Call for writers and artists

The Franklin County Arts Council Writers Guild is seeking submissions of poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction to be considered for the 2016 issue of “County Lines: A Literary Journal.” For details, email A cash prize of $25 will be awarded to the artist whose work is chosen for the book cover. The deadline to submit work is Sept. 15.

‘State of the Print’

The Miriam Preston Block Art Gallery will display “State of the Print” from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. June 3 through July 24 in the Avery C. Upchurch Government Complex, 222 W. Hargett St., Raleigh. The Wake Forest Guild of Artists will present its 20th annual Tour of Artists from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, and Sunday, Sept. 20.
