Sensory Fun Days

The Flaherty Park Community Center will host free open play time for children with special needs in the indoor gym facility from 3 to 5 p.m. at 1226 N. White St., Wake Forest. The event is for children ages 18 months to 13 years and their families. A parent or caretaker must accompany each child.

Saturdays at the Old Mill Tours

Historic Yates Mill County Park will offer half-hour tours of the mill from 1 to 3 p.m. at 4620 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh. The cost is $5 per adult, $4 per senior age 60 and older, $3 per child age 7 to 16 and free for children 6 and younger. Pre-registration is encouraged. Tickets are available inside the park’s visitor center.
