Redhawks registration
The North Raleigh Redhawks rugby team has opened registration for the spring 2015 semester. Boys and girls from pre-K to 12th-grade are invited to join. Younger age groups play non-contact/touch, while the older groups play tackle. For details, go to RedHawksRugby.com.
Karate classes
Karate Kenpo classes are offered from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays for youth, and 7 to 8:30 p.m. for adults, at Millbrook Exchange Park, 1905 Spring Forest Road, Raleigh. Monthly fee is $45. The instructor is Bill Parsons of the Triangle Kenpo Institute.

Pickleball open play
Play pickleball from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays on the tennis courts at Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St., Wake Forest. Pickleball is played on a badminton court with a lowered net, a perforated plastic ball and wood paddles. It is easy to learn but can develop into a competitive game for experienced players.
