WE CELEBRATE the 60th wedding anniversary of Carol & Jim Cheatham! We celebrate this joyous occasion by honoring their remarkable marriage and the amazing life they have shared with their four daughters: Terry, Fran, Margaret and Kay! Carol and Jim were married June 9, 1956, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Smithfield, NC, the town where they grew up together. Jim is a graduate of NCSU in Mechanical Engineering and Carol is a graduate of Campbell University in Business. Jim’s successful career was well rewarded with a 35-year company of his own, Cheatham and Associates, PA, which continues in business today. Jim continues to work, unless the day presents itself well for golf, and the company employs Carol (now retired), daughter Kay, two son-in-laws among a dozen other employees. For years, Carol and Jim enjoyed the horse farm life on Middle Sound Loop Road. They worked hard to support their four daughters who excelled in the horse showing world. They also enjoyed boating on their 36’ trawler called “The Carol Sea”! They spent 20 years enjoying the condo life at Seapath Condominiums at Wrightsville Beach, and now they live in their custom built home at Old Homestead Farm in Rocky Point. Carol has taken up a “serious” water color painting hobby that has amazed everyone, including the movie and film industry. Her pieces continue to be rented out for various Wilmington movie and TV productions! Carol and Jim continue a busy life with their four married daughters, four son-in-laws and six grandchildren. The most valuable thing that the Cheatham’s instilled in their children’s lives is “family is everything”! CONGRATULATIONS CAROL & JIM , JUNE 9, 1956 – JUNE 9, 2016……………….60 YEARS TOGETHER!!!
