Corky Sorensen, age 66, of Anna, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in McKinney, Texas. She was born August 27, 1947 to Thomas Roland and Theramae (Boyette) Jackson in Hickory, North Carolina. She first pursued a nursing degree, but found her calling traveling the world as a flight attendant where she met her husband of 43 years. She was married to James Sorensen on April 5, 1970 in Kenly, North Carolina. After the births of her children she stayed home to raise them. Of all the places in the world Hawaii was her true home and she will always live there. Corky is survived by her loving husband James Sorensen of Anna, Texas; daughter, Maya Sorensen and husband James Willtrout of Garland, Texas; son, Ragnar Sorensen and wife Holly of McKinney, Texas; granddaughters, Kyra and Peyton Sorensen both of McKinney, Texas; mother, Theramae Jackson of Kenly, North Carolina; brothers, Thomas Roland Jackson, Jr. and wife Patsy of Kenly, North Carolina and Kerry Jackson also of Kenly, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Roland Jackson, Sr. A memorial service will be held on February 26th, 2014 at 10:00 am at Trinity Presbyterian Church 5871 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, TX, 75071.
