North Johnston team, NCS golfer set for golf regionals

North Johnston's girls golf team and Neuse Charter golfer McKenna Hammer will participate in Monday's 1A/2A east regional tournament in Goldsboro. North has four golfers qualified — Kayla Durham, Logan Capps, Caroline Baker and Heather Crocker — for the event, which determines qualifiers for the state championships.

Golfers from Corinth Holders, Cleveland, Smithfield-Selma and South Johnston are in the 3A regionals in Brunswick County. The 4A regional with Greater Neuse River 4A Conference members will be played in Chapel Hill, also on Monday.
