Parents: Rodd and Tywana Raynor

High School: South Johnston

Height, Weight: 5-foot-7, 170 pounds

Position: Slot Receiver

Why Wesleyan? “They have a really good sports medicine program and offered me the chance to play at the next level.”

Also Considered: Bluefield, Chowan

Major: Sports Medicine

Notable: Gerrodd has played varsity football for South all four seasons, taking advantage of the eight-quarter rule during his freshman year to see some time on Friday nights. He likes the opportunity that the slot receiver position gives for a smaller receiver to make big plays. “I’d like to improve my 40 time and my timing,” he said. “That will just give me a chance to make more plays.”
