Princeton boys rally by Lakewood

Princeton’s boys basketball team finished with a flurry Tuesday night, scoring 23 points in the fourth quarter to rally by Lakewood for a 53-44 road victory. The Bulldogs trailed by seven points entering the fourth quarter.

Michael Wooten led Princeton (6-7 conference) with 22 points; Tanner Woodard had 14.

Lakewood won the girls game, 45-22. Charley Cox’s nine points led Princeton (9-12 overall, 7-6 conference).

Neuse Charter finishes with a bang

Neuse Charter limited Rosewood’s boys basketball team to eight fourth-quarter points and rallied for a 58-51 win Tuesday night. Jimmie Sanders III led the Cougars with 21 points, while DeVante Stevens added a dozen.

The win moved Neuse Charter to 7-6 in Carolina 1A Conference play and 14-11 overall.

Rosewood won the girls game, 57-25.
