Why Peace? “It’s close to home and a know a girl on the team. It was just a great feeling being there from the moment I arrived on campus.”
Notable: Courtney’s interest in marine biology drew her to look at the school in Maine, but in the end, it was just too far away from home for her tastes. She hasn’t decided on a major at Peace. … As a setter, she was second on the Corinth Holders’ squad with 204 assists this season and added 86 digs. … She was an academic all-conference selection. … “I’m going to remember working with the coaches at Corinth Holders most,” Courtney said, “and how they helped me become a better player.” … Courtney knows becoming a more vocal player on the court will be key to her development as a college-level setter.
Corinth Holders coach Charles Riley: “Courtney has progressed so much on the court and it’s been fun watching her develop. She needed to become a more vocal presence on the court and she did after a summer camp with (beach pro and former UCLA standout) Andor Gyulai. Courtney really helped our team become a group that picked each other up and always kept a good vibe going on the court.”
