Cary Visual Art is looking for entries for the Annual Art Ball on Nov. 1 at Prestonwood Country Club. ‘Around the World in 80 Days’
Applause! Cary Youth Theatre is looking for 13- to 18-year-old actors and design team members for a performance of “Around the World in 80 Days” this fall. Auditions will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, and design team interviews will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. Walk-ins will not be accepted, and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Pickin’ in the Pines Bluegrass Series
The annual Pickin’ in the Pines Bluegrass Series of concerts continues from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Oct. 1 at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary. Artists must be 18 or older, and there is a $5 fee for each entrant. Artwork will be on display from Friday, Oct. 10, through Friday, Nov. 21, with an opening reception from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10.
