Southern Charm Gift Boutique

Southern Charm Gift Boutique is looking for crafters and artists for the holiday season. The boutique is in Cary Towne Center and will open a seasonal store in Triangle Town Center in Raleigh. For more information, email southerncharmgifts@nc.rr.com.

Call for artists

The Cary Photographic Artists are looking for entries for the seventh annual open juried photographic exhibition from Monday, Oct. 27, through Friday, Dec. 19, at the Cary Senior Center, 120 Maury Odell Place. Reel-ly Scary Cary

Koka Booth Amphitheatre will host Reel-ly Scary Cary movie screenings and a haunted house from Thursday, Oct. 23, through Saturday, Oct. 25, at 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary. Tickets cost $10 for ages 13 and older. The event isn’t recommended for ages 12 and younger. The ticket price includes the movie and one visit to the haunted house. Here’s the schedule:

• Thursday, Oct. 23: haunted house from 6-10 p.m. and Stephen King’s “Pet Sematary” at 8 p.m.



• Friday, Oct. 24: haunted house from 6-11 p.m. and “Monsters University” at 8 p.m.



• Saturday, Oct. 25: haunted house from 6-10 p.m. and “The Conjuring” at 8 p.m.



Marvelous Music Series and Marvelous Music Family Series

Cary’s Marvelous Music Series and Marvelous Music Family Series continue this fall. The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will present the musical adaptation of “Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel” at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, and “The Emperor’s New Clothes” at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. For details, go to www.townofcary.org.

Lochmere Arts & Crafts Show

The annual Lochmere Arts & Crafts Show will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the parking lot of the Lochmere Pavilion shops, 2425 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary. This is the juried art show’s sixth year. For details, call 919-233-1598.

Friends of the Page-Walker Concert Series

The Friends of the Page-Walker Concert Series will be this fall at 4 p.m. Sundays in the Page-Walker Arts & History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop, Cary. Arts & Crafts Festival

The Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club’s annual Arts & Crafts Festival will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, and Sunday, Jan. 18, at Windsor Point, 1221 Broad St., Fuquay-Varina. All local community members and students are welcome to enter their work. Literature entries are due Friday, Dec. 5, and arts and crafts entries are due Monday, Jan. 12.
