Food drive

The Fuquay-Varina Fire Department will collect nonperishable food for the Fuquay-Varina Emergency Food Bank through Monday, Dec. 15, at all Fuquay-Varina fire stations and Town Hall. Cash donations also will be accepted to buy food.

Speech and debate seeks judges

SpeakOut N.C., a competitive speech and debate club for homeschool students, is hosting a practice event to prepare for the spring competition.
