Holly Springs Community Band open rehearsal

Community Emergency Response Team training

Morrisville’s Community Emergency Response Team will host a basic training class for residents who are interested in joining the program. The class will be from 6-10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, and Friday, Nov. 14; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15; and 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at Fire Station 1, 200 Town Hall Drive. Compassion Awareness and Learning Series

America Recycles Day

Cary will host a free paper-shredding event for residents during America Recyles Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Garmon Operations Center, 400 James Jackson Ave. Bring up to three boxes of confidential papers for free, on-site recycling. For details, go to www.townofcary.org.

Holiday Craft Fair

Cary’s Holiday Craft Fair will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cary Senior Center, 120 Maury Odell Place. The craft fair features handmade gifts by local artists.

Kids Get Crafty: T is for Turkey

Crowder District Park will host craft activities for kids from 11 a.m. to noon at 4709 Ten-Ten Road, Apex. Registration is required and costs $4 per child. To register, call 919-626-2850.

Mistletoe Madness

The Mistletoe Madness holiday market will be open from noon to 4 p.m. at the Ballentine-Spence House, 109 E. Spring St., Fuquay-Varina. Vendors will sell local crafts, artwork and gifts. Door prizes will be given every 15 to 20 minutes. For details, go to mistletoemadness.wordpress.com.

American Tobacco Trail hike

Hikers will learn about the history of the American Tobacco Trail from 3-4 p.m. at 1309 New Hill-Olive Chapel Road, Apex. The program is for ages 6 and older. Registration is required and costs $5 per family. To register, call 919-387-2117
