Cary Girl Scout is a top cookie seller

Xena Gray of Cary was one of the top three cookie sellers from the N.C. Coastal Pines Girl Scout Council in the 2013 Girl Scout Cookie Sale program, the council announced. Xena, a sixth-grader last school year at East Cary Middle School, sold 3,041 boxes as a member of Troop 15.

Apex student earns Good Citizen Award

Mike Daum, a senior at Apex High School, earned the Good Citizen Award of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution’s Yates Mill Chapter. The award is given to recognize dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.
