Raleigh Christian Women’s Connection

Sportsmen’s Dinner

Sunrise United Methodist Church will host the Sportsmen’s Dinner for kids and adults from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Congleton Farm, 1719 Avent Ferry Road, Holly Springs. There will be venison, elk, wild pig, duck, flounder and hot dogs. Brian Dehart, the founder of Anchored Up Ministries, will speak. The church will offer falconry and dog retrieving demonstrations and activities for all ages. Tickets cost $10 for adults, and tickets for ages 16 and younger are free with each adult ticket. New Hope Presbytery celebrates new pastors

New Hope Presbytery will celebrate the Rev. Amanda Golbek’s installation as associate pastor for youth and young adults and the Rev. Easter Festival and Egg Hunt

Brown Bag Ministry

The Brown Bag Ministry, which feeds more than 1,400 people a week, is looking for middle- and high school-age volunteers. The group meets at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Apex about 9 a.m. Saturdays. Volunteers prepare bagged meals and hand them out in Raleigh. The group usually finishes by 1 p.m. Details:
