Girl Scout Junior Troop 1105 of Cary earned their Bronze Award by helping the Wake County SPCA. The girls used their cookie money to purchase fleece to make blankets and toys for the animals. They also held a drive to collect cleaning supplies for the SPCA. Local student serves as N.C. Senate page

Jineet Jayesh Patel of Cary recently served as a page in the N.C. Senate. Patel is the son of Jayesh and Hina Patel and attends the Wake Early College of Health and Sciences.

Pages perform duties for the senators and their office staff and attend daily senate sessions and committee meetings. Patel was sponsored by Sen. Josh Stein.
