‘Trail Treks’

“Trail Treks,” a family series, will be from 2 to 3 p.m. at the American Tobacco Trail, 1309 New Hill-Olive Chapel Road, New Hill. ‘Do It Herself’ women’s workshop

Home Depot will host a free “Do It Herself” workshop for women from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 1000 Vision Drive, Apex. Participants will learn how to select the proper tools and supplies to build and decorate an Adirondack chair.

Teen Work Project

Teens in grades six through 10 can earn volunteer credit while helping the Eva Perry Regional Library from 7 to 8 p.m. at 2100 Shepherd’s Vineyard Drive, Apex. For details, call 919-387-2100.

‘Movies in the Park’

Morrisville’s Parks and Recreation Department will present “Movies in the Park” at 6 p.m. at Morrisville Community Park, 1520 Morrisville Parkway. “The Hunger Games” will begin around 8:30 p.m. There will be food trucks. Health Fair

The Triangle Area Hindu Temples and Triangle Indian-American Physicians Society will hold a health fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hindu Society of N.C., 309 Aviation Parkway, Morrisville. The event will feature health check-ups and consultations, a blood drive and CPR class. A donation of $10 or more is requested. To register, visit www.tahts.org.

Amateur Radio Field Day

The Raleigh Amateur Radio Society will hold its annual field day at 2 p.m. at Carroll Farm, 4501 Friendship Road, Apex. Raleigh and Wake County ham radio operators will join thousands of other amateur radio operators to demonstrate emergency communications.
