Friday’s football games
Panther Creek at Middle Creek
These are the only two Southwest Wake Athletic Conference teams who have yet to lose in league play. Middle Creek (6-0, 2-0) is coming off a 44-7 rocking of one of two teams that seems primed to challenge the Mustangs this year. If Middle Creek can solve the riddle of Panther Creek’s stellar defense —the Catamounts (5-1, 2-0) are allowing just 10 points per game — the next four games won’t form much of a challenge.
Head-to-head: Middle Creek leads 7-1 all-time.

Head-to-head: Fuquay leads 12-2 all-time.
