Four people were taken to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation after a fire gutted a mobile home early Monday, Durham firefighters said.
The blaze at 2718 Enfield Drive was reported just before 5 a.m., Deputy Chief Christopher Iannuzzi said.
Crews from the city and Bethesda fire departments fought the fire.
It was put out in a half-hour, but it destroyed the trailer.
Five adults were in the trailer at the time the fire started, and all got out, but EMS took four of them to Duke University Hospital.
Investigators were trying to identify how the fire started, Iannuzzi said.
The Red Cross was called to help the five displaced people find shelter, he said.
Enfield Drive is off Pear Tree Lane east of N.C. 55 in southwest Durham.
