A motorcyclist was killed Friday night when he crashed into a car.
Investigators think the motorcyclist was traveling at a high speed, police said Saturday in a news release.
Carl Capps, 40, of Durham was traveling east on Freeman Road near Obsidian Way on a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle shortly before 6 p.m. when he hit a 2012 Ford Focus driven by Quentin Pressley, 24, of Durham, police said. Pressley was turning left onto Freeman from Obsidian when he was hit.
Capps was taken to a hospital, where he died. Pressley was not injured.
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, investigators said.
